"Never
doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals
can change the world.
Indeed, it's the only thing that ever does."
-
Margaret Mead
Simply
put...to fulfill our chapter purpose, we determine the needs of
the community
and provide projects to meet those needs. Through hands-on experience
running projects, members develop leadership skills, enhance their
visibility in the community, and promote the chapter...all the
while, making friends and having fun.
What
Makes up the JC Organization?
Community
Development:
Community service plays a vital role in the Eau Claire Jaycees.
The JC's have a warm spot for helping children! For more than
40 years the Eau Claire Jc's have been participating in the Toys
for Tots program in Eau Claire County. In this endeavor, we have
annually helped an average of 3000 children and their families
have better holidays! The Eau Claire JC's have also hosted the
community Easter Egg hunt for decades.

Individual
Development:
Individual
Development helps members develop professional and personal skills.
Members can plan projects, fundraisers, community activities and
socials all while developing skills they have never knew they
posessed.
Management
Development:
Management programs
serve the dual purpose of keeping the Chapter financially solvent
while providing members hands-on experience in planning, financial
ad organizational management. Casino nights, and summer festival
concessions are just a couple ways the jaycees have recently raised
funds for our projects and activities.
Membership
Development:
Sharpen your presentation and sales skills by recruiting new members.
In addition to benefiting our Chapter, you will meet other people,
work with business leaders and enhance your visibility in the
community.
THE
JAYCEES OFFER YOU COMMUNITY, INDIVIDUAL, MANAGEMENT
AND MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.
What
Do The Jaycees Expect From You?
The Jaycees success depends on the participation of its members.
As a new member, the choice is yours as to the extent of your
commitment. You can participate as little as one hour per month
or as much as your schedule permits. The programs and projects
offered will benefit you only if you participate in them. These
projects are designed to develop your leadership skills while
they help your community.
As
a chapter member, it is your responsibility to participate in
activities, projects, chapter social functions and learning opportunities.
It is up to you to take advantage of all the Jaycees have to offer.
YOUR
PARTICIPATION IN THE JAYCEES IS IMPORTANT TO THE JAYCEES GROWTH
AND YOURS.
